SOCAR hosts a Technology Meeting: Russian and international technologies presented to the company’s specialist divisions

The event was organised by the Center for Energy and Technology Development with the participation of SOCAR representatives and Russian and Chinese companies that develop and manufacture technological equipment.

Direct dialogue with technology buyers

A defining feature of the Technology Meeting was its format of direct interaction between technology and equipment manufacturers and SOCAR’s specialist divisions.

Participants presented drilling solutions, technologies and equipment, as well as modern methods for monitoring and analysing production processes. The technologies were considered in relation to SOCAR’s current technical and operational needs.

SOCAR representatives reviewed the participants’ technical capabilities, discussed potential applications for the solutions presented and identified issues requiring further technical assessment.

Particular attention was paid to solutions capable of improving the efficiency, reliability, industrial safety and technological resilience of energy facilities.

From technology presentation to deployment

The Technology Meeting was structured as a practical means of direct interaction between technology manufacturers and end customers.

The meetings covered:

• SOCAR’s current technological challenges;
• innovative solutions and equipment capable of addressing these challenges;
• product specifications and areas of application;
• opportunities for additional technical consultations;

Following the meetings, the parties identified areas for further cooperation and technical assessment of the solutions presented.

The main aim of Technology Meetings is to establish a practical route from presenting technology and equipment to their potential industrial application.

After the event, the Center for Energy and Technology Development continues to support interaction between the interested parties: it organises additional discussions and technical meetings and helps prepare the next stages of cooperation.
